 The Calender tells us that we are smack dab in the middle of summer but the weather doesn't show it. We must watch what we wish for as it may well be scorching weather soon.

    Our new Information Centre Manager Lillian White has been very busy since she started with membership lists, re-arranging the Centre, planning Canada Day festivities, and training staff. Lillian wishes to keep our local businesses in the fore front and wants to keep as many tourist dollars in the community that she can.

    The Centre is offering something new this year. We are planning to make more use of our great location next to the highway.Family members will be able to have yard sales at no charge. Our business members can hold two day sales on the Information Centre property at no charge.

    We are also opening our porch and property(lawn) for non-members as well. There will be a rental charge at 25 dollars per day at a maximum of two days. We urge our members to make use of this opportunity. We will put posters up here to advertise your event. 

    With the new use of this property we are having an Arts & Crafts show here September 1st and 2nd, Saturday and Sunday of Labor Day weekend. If you are a member there will be no charge for you to set up your goods you wish to sell. Just Imagine the traffic going down Highway 69 nearly any day, and every one of them can see what you wish to sell.

    Please be sure to let your Information Staff know if we can help you. Be sure they know if you have Vacancies as well.
